The delicate sounds of a wild Elephant charging it’s way through the house was what I awoke to this morning, only to find it was Emily already in full flight.
I popped into her room and saw this lovely piece of art on the window.

I’ve covered condensation with Emily before, so this was a good opportunity to recap and see how much of the blabbering dad had stuck.
Turns out, a decent amount but a few details has apparently evaporated 😉
We had a good 2 hour conversation about thermal conductivity, thermal insulators, relative humidity, condensation, rain clouds, atmosphere.
Basically everything to do with why does this happen, how it effects how we design thing, why we use certain materials, how we might use this observation for our benefit etc.
It was a lovely science chat, with lots of questions posed by Emily and I to each other, helping to push Emily into making logical conclusions from the evidence at hand, how to look & find that evidence etc.
Emily was ready for a rest y the time 8:30 had come around, so we sent her to school 😉
