READING – Peppa Pig was the star this week and Emily really enjoyed her time reading about Peppa’s adventures.
We tried a couple of Lightkeeper books but found a few too many tricky words that really broke the rhythm and pacing of her reading, so we’ll take those back to the library and try something else.

WRITING – Emily had this week off school due to her second Covid shot which meant she missed Monday, Tuesday she was a bit sore and sniffly so we ended up doing Mrs Morgans workbook at home built around EA words.
We also got some handwriting practice in and character with a touch of character practice as well.

TYPING – Emily has taken well to the keyboard and already has a reasonable grasp on her most commonly used letter placements.

SPELLING – we’ve started to reuse our old Sight Words for last year and retasked them for spelling practice, which has worked remarkably well.
Hopefully this will translate into slightly faster reading as well as her pattern recognition improves.
