Emily took to this simple message about Family from Sesame Street, I think the rhyming rhythm not too dissimilar to Julia Donaldson (The Gruffalo et. al.) allowed her to get into a flow which can be quite stunted.
Each page was read aloud three times to try and reinforce that connection between eye’s, memory and mouth.
The third readthrough was quite enjoyable for Emily and I think it’s a method we’ll use more in the future.
